Ink.Stamp.Share May Blog Hop – Monochrome
Hello and welcome to my little part of the May Ink.Stamp.Share blog hop. We are a group of International Stampin’ Up! demonstrators, and you may have just come across from Pia’s lovely blog in Germany. This month we have gone monochrome, a challenge I found pretty difficult! I love colour and really struggled with limiting myself. Until that is, I decided to use this cute stamp set from the new catalogue (not long to go!).
Over the Moon is just so adorable and lots of fun to use! When I think of monochrome (or is that MOO-chrome) the obvious black and white comes to mind, perfect for these gorgeous ladies. The cow print background was stamped with the ‘blotch’ images from Love What You Do in Momento black.
I chose to bring in a touch of colour and used real red to make the images pop. My cow is feeling really confident today in her bright red lippy. I must admit I was so tempted to get the blends out and colour in the images, but hopefully it looks just as good without.
I made a matching 2,4,6,8 box embellished with a daisy from the new Daisy Lane stamp set stamped in Frost White shimmer paint then fussy cut. The new smaller daisy punch is top of my wish list on the 4th June. I love these little boxes, so quick and easy to make.
So, in the middle of making these projects I had to make a quick trip to the supermarket and saw an old childhood favourite, milk bottle sweets. With cows in my head I had to buy a pack and knew exactly what I wanted to do with them. I have a retired stash of cellophane tube bags, which I stamped with small daisies in Stazon.
One for me……One for the bag……One for me…..
I think five milk bottles eventually made their way into the little favour bag! It was topped with the larger daisy from Daisy Lane, again stamped with frost white shimmer paint.
Thank you for stopping by on my blog today and I hope that you have enjoyed my ‘MOO-chromatic’ projects. I would love to hear what you think by leaving a comment, the link is at the top of this post.
The next visit on the blog hop is with Tricia Butts all the way in Colorado, USA. While you are there be sure to have a look around, she has some lovely projects on her blog.
Here is the complete blog hop list, just in case like me you wander a bit and get lost!
